Capalaba, QLD – The Rebels Weightlifting Club has once again proven its strength—both on the platform and in the community—after a stellar showing at the recent Queensland Masters Weightlifting Event held in Miles. 5 athletes from the 8 club lifters who participated brought home an impressive haul of gold medals, with several competitors shattering state and national records.
Leading the charge was Fraser Harrison, who not only took home gold but also set new Queensland and Australian records, cementing his status as one of the most formidable lifters in the Masters division.
Seasoned competitors Christine Angell and Bonney Douglas each delivered supurb performances, earning gold medals and setting new Queensland records in their respective weight categories. Their dedication and precision exemplify the hard work and consistency cultivated at Rebels Weightlifting Club.
Not to be outdone, Tash Nilsson and Tori Burfield also dominated their categories, each earning a well-deserved gold medal and showcasing the depth of talent across the club.
